Gary's pumpkin weighed in at 530 #s - he sold it ($.50 per #) but retained the right to the seeds - ha, now he is all "gun-ho" for next year, even talking about planting a cover crop for the garden this winter.
I'm you just happen to be in Fairfield CA, you can visit the Jelly Belly factory where they have the pumpkin on display! They even have a contest to guess the weight (we're banned from entering though...)
